Agia Anna is a little place six kilometres south of Naxos City. A number of new apartment complexes have been built here during the last few years. But why live so far away from Naxos City?
Agia Anna is a place with many good qualities. However, whether you like it or not will depend on yourself. Lets look at my arguments first. Firstly this is a small quiet place. A lot of apartments have been built in recent years but they are spread out. And it is still easy to find nice, cosy and quiet accommodation.
Agia Anna is also home to two beautiful beaches with higher standards than that of Naxos City beach. These two beaches are approximately 300 metres long and are both reasonably well protected against winds from the north. However, the sea can get a bit rocky at times.
Agia Anna is also home to a number of little taverns. There are also several supermarkets. Overall, Agia Anna is a good place to be if partying is not the number one priority. But if partying is the number one priority three are good bus connections to Naxos City. Busses leave at least once every hour. The first buss departs at approximately 8:00 am.
